About 150 girls celebrated women empowerment in Cleveland.
CLEVELAND — Girl League empowered younger girls and impressed them to be assured Saturday in Cleveland.
The sixth annual day-long program was introduced by the Junior League of Cleveland, “an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.”
Middle faculty and highschool girls participated in hands-on actions.
The kids, ages 11-18, broke into small teams for courses geared in the direction of wholesome consuming, health, constructive physique picture improvement, drawback fixing, profession exploration, self-worth and an entire host of different subjects.
The occasion has grown significantly since its inaugural occasion in 2012.
This yr, about 150 girls attended this system.
The occasion was held on Tri-C’s Metro Campus on Cleveland’s close to east-side.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland, Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga Community College, University Hospitals Women’s Health Institute, Esperanza and different organizations helped to sponsor the occasion.
